80. What is the evidence that the Kingdom of God exists?

The evidence that the Kingdom of God exists is found in the transformed lives of the disciples of Christ. When they pray and the power of God is released in miracles and healing we know that the Kingdom of God is present. The Kingdom of God is manifest in a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). The constraint of evil and darkness through prayer, believers’ power over demons, and healing the sick are all evidences of the existence of the Kingdom of God.

In Surah 63 Al Munafiqum ayah 8 it states: ‘They say, ‘If we return to Madinah, surely the more honourable will expel there from the meaner’ But honour belongs to Allâh and His Messenger, and to the Believers, but the Hypocrites know not.’ This Surah implies that the true Believers will expel from the city the Hypocrites – Muslims who don’t really practice the faith and others who don’t believe, so the city will become a pure city of Believers.’ Where this takes place it will become apparent that the Kingdom of God (Allâh) will come to earth.
