It is absolutely vital that you know the truth and the truth will set you free from lies and false revelations. Christianity is exclusive in its revelation of God’s plan of salvation. Jesus taught that unless you accept Jesus Christ as the Saviour of your sins you cannot be saved and go to heaven. The alternative is hell, a place of everlasting torment. The choice between the two destinations is so dramatically different that only a fool would not accept the free gift of salvation and heaven through Jesus Christ. The Psalmist king David said in Psalm 14 verse 1 ‘Only fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’ ’
Jesus spoke of two paths in life in Matthew 7 v 14 – 20: ‘But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. ‘Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them.’ ’ The same fruit test can be applied to religions and the devotees of religions. By their fruit you shall know them.
In the Qur’an Surah 10 ayat 34 it states: ‘Say: ‘Of your partners (idols), Can any originate creation and repeat it?’ Say: ‘It is Allâh Who originates Creation and repeats it: Then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?’ Say: ‘Of your partners (idols) is there any that can give any guidance towards Truth. Is then He who gives guidance to Truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (Himself) unless he is guided? What then is the matter with you? How judge ye?’ This Qur’an is not such that can be produced by other than Allâh on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it (Torah, Psalms, Injeel (Gospels)), and a fuller explanation of the Book (Holy Bible) – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the Worlds.’ This is the view of Muslims.
It is commonly understood that idols are the creation of man and cannot create anything. God (Allâh) is the Creator of all things and He alone should be worshipped. To worship an idol is the worship of the created thing of Man, and not that created by God. The Bible and the Qur’an agree that only the One True Creator God should be worshipped.
